Von Schmitten aus ging es am Sonntag morgen los in Richtung Thalheim. Zusammen mit den Routiniers Jael Andrey, Lukas und Julia Lötscher, Larissa Feyer und Jonas Schwaller war Lucien Trüssel neu im Aufgebot mit dabei. Nach dem Wiegen wurden die Gewichtsklassen gebildet und die Wettkampflisten bekannt gegeben.
Für Jael und Lucien bedeutete dies ein direktes Aufeinandertreffen im weiteren Wettkampfverlauf. Alle anderen Sensler konnten die Ringerstaffel alleine in ihren jeweiligen Gewichtsklassen vertreten. Insgesamt wurde in der Sporthalle Thalheim in neun Gewichtsklassen der JugendPlus-Kategorie (10-15 Jahre) und sieben in der PiccoloPlus-Kategorie (6-9Jahre) gerungen.
Nach einem langen Tag in der Halle können wir auf zufriedenstellende Leistungen und Ergebnisse zurückblicken. Während Jael sich erst im Wettkampfverlauf steigern konnte und nach einer Schulterniederlage zwei Schultersiege und einen Punktsieg folgen liess, überraschte Lucien bereits in seinem ersten Kampf mit einem souveränen Schultersieg. Im weiteren Verlauf musste er dann jedoch noch etwas Lehrgeld bezahlen. Nichts desto trotz hatte er grossen Spass und sein Auftritt lässt für weitere Turniere Gutes hoffen. Julia und Larissa erwischten einen schlechten Tag. Mit jeweils nur einem Sieg mussten sie sich gegen eine starke Konkurrenz behaupten. Die physischen Unterschiede in einem sonst nur von Jungs besetzen Teilnehmerfeld wurden hierbei besonders deutlich. Lukas hatte leider nur einen Gegner, zeigte diesem aber deutlich seine technische Überlegenheit auf und beendete den Kampf nach wenigen Sekunden. Jonas lieferte eine lupenreine Leistung ab und überzeugte mit drei Siegen durch technische Überlegenheit sowie einem Punktsieg und einem Schultersieg, was ihm die Goldmedaille sicherte.
Mit drei Medaillen und viel gewonnener Erfahrungkehrten unsere Aktiven sowie das ganze Betreuerteam (danke!) nach Hause zurück.
